The first Summerish swim of the year

Seven swimmers with bright safety floats swim in the sea past cliffs at Beer in Devon, UK

We had a cracking Saturday afternoon taking some of the combined WiLDSquad to the arch and caves at Beer yesterday. The first swim of the year, where it felt like summer.

The Wivey Pool in Wiveliscombe has two WiLDSquad teams: WiLDSquad and Junior WiLDSquad. With both swimming in the first sea swim of the season, the group is more balanced and social… a safe, social, fun experience is what it’s all about.

Older swimmers bring experience and steadiness, while teenagers bring energy, new ideas and hilarity. It breaks down age barriers, builds confidence across the group, and creates a stronger sense of community. You wouldn’t know it, but there’s a Channel Soloist & several Channel relay swimmers, an Ice miler, Jurassic Coast and Lake Zurich marathon swimmers, an Eddystone Lighthouse swimmer and great people who just swim for fun spanning an age range of over 50 years on parade

Thanks, Debra Adams, for the photos, Craig for the drone shots, and those parents and friends who watched over us.
