Big Swim Bristol Channel aspirants complete the Branscombe Bounce

Huge congratulations to The Big Swim Bristol Channel aspirants, Izzy and Susy, who completed the Branscombe Bounce yesterday, starting and returning to Beer! 

A testing 6.2km swim completed in 2 hours and 2 minutes, the pair battled jellyfish throughout, while wind over tide conditions on the return leg made for an especially bumpy finish rounding Beer Head. With the sea temperature a chilly 13.8°C, it was not only a demanding physical challenge but also a brilliant endurance swim and a big deposit into the morale bank for their Bristol Channel attempt this August. 

  Like many of our swimmers, Izzy and Susy have been training throughout the Autumn and Winter with The Wivey Pool Junior WiLDsquad, their sights set firmly on their ‘Big Swim’ this summer. This is another fantastic step on their journey!
