Junior WiLDSquad Take on the Iconic St Michael's Mount Swim
On 9th August, members of the Wivey Pool Junior WiLDSquad Big Swim Team headed to Cornwall to take part in the St Michael's Mount Swim, a popular open water event set against one of the South West's most iconic landmarks.
Starting from Marazion Beach, the ‘Big Swim’ enjoyed the opportunity to swim around St Michael's Mount, taking in the stunning scenery and experiencing a different kind of challenge from their usual training sessions.
The event was a fantastic day out for the team, bringing together young swimmers, families and supporters for an enjoyable adventure in the sea. Along the way, the swimmers showed great enthusiasm, supported one another and embraced the spirit of open water swimming.
As part of the wider WiLDS community, the Junior WiLDSquad continues to promote the importance of cleaner rivers and seas, demonstrating how a love of swimming can go hand in hand with caring for the environment.
Congratulations to all the swimmers who took part. It was a fun and memorable experience, and another great example of young people getting active, enjoying the outdoors and making the most of the wonderful waters around the South West.
